Professional Background
Sharon Fitzgerald Wolff is a Research Instructor in the Department of Population Health at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Wolff completed her MPH from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2009 and her PhD in Health Policy and Management at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2023.
Dr. Wolff has many teaching responsibilities for the MPH, MS-CR and medical school programs, including Principles of Epidemiology, Epidemiology for Advanced Nursing Practice, Introduction to Clinical Research, and Population Health in Practice.
Her current research focuses on the health impact of neighborhood and individual-level social determinants of health. She also has experience working as a senior research analyst and/or project coordinator for a variety of research projects including those surrounding smoking cessation, heart failure, diabetes, adolescent vaccination, and telemedicine. She has over 15 years of experience designing, implementing, and providing data analysis for research studies. Currently, she provides research support to resident, fellow, and attending physicians in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
