The KU School of Nursing is expanding the nursing workforce through two Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)-funded opportunities: MIDWIVES KAN and Advancing Nursing Education Workforce (ANEW): Grow and Stay.

MIDWIVES KAN: Expanding and diversifying the maternity care workforce in Kansas
The MIDWIVES KAN project offers up to $25,000 per year for Doctor of Nursing Practice or post-graduate Nurse-Midwife students from diverse backgrounds who participate in full-time study in nurse-midwifery.
Advanced Nursing Education Workforce (ANEW): Grow and Stay
The ANEW project allows nurses, nurse practitioners and nurse-midwives to earn up to $25,000 while studying and serving in rural, urban, and/or tribal underserved communities with focus in the areas of mental health, maternal-child health, and substance use disorders.
Clinical Fellowship for APRNs
The Clinical Fellowship for APRNs supports Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) graduates in gaining additional skills focused on complex primary care practice in rural, urban and tribal underserved community-based settings across Kansas.
