A day in the life of Salina nursing students

Students at KU School of Nursing-Salina share what life is like on campus this fall.

Nursing is known for being a tough major. And while that's true, we'd like to go on the record and tell you that it's fun, too... Especially when you're a KU-Salina nursing student. We've found ways to balance the demands of school and forge lasting friendships.

For example, the lounge area on the Salina campus features booths for students to have lunch together, enjoy a game of pool or foosball, or even hit a quick workout between classes.

Studying for nursing school tests can be challenging, but we help each other through it! In fact, the Salina campus features smaller class sizes so it's easy to snag study rooms help to facilitate learning outside the classroom.

Finally, it's always important to remember one of the most important ingredients to survive nursing school: CAFFEINE.

There's free java on campus (yes, really). And just across the street is Ad Astra, a local coffee shop and bookstore, for when we need a change of scenery away from campus.
