At KU School of Medicine-Wichita, you'll discover a wealth of research opportunities not only for our students, resident physicians, faculty and staff, but for our collaborators and community members as well.

Our Office of Research collaborates with professionals, facilitates research efforts and scholarly endeavors, and hosts an annual Research Forum that has engaged the community and spotlighted local research projects for more than 30 years. Additionally, the Kansas Journal of Medicine, which is based in Wichita but draws interest from around the world, publishes original research, reviews, commentaries and case studies on all aspects of clinical medicine, health care delivery, health policy and medical education.

The KU Wichita Center for Clinical Research conducts clinical trials, contributing to the discovery of new treatments in all areas of medicine, while our Center for Research for Infant Birth and Survival aims to eradicate preventable infant death in Kansas. To ensure safe and ethical research, the Human Research Protection Program partners with investigators.
