The mission of the Pathology Grants and Research Office (PRGO) is to support Pathology Basic Science faculty and their labs with all administrative tasks, including HR, Pre- and Post-Award Grant Assistance, Promotion and Tenure, Seminar Series, Pathology Graduate Program and more.

The PRGO team is based out of 3084 Hemenway, but also works remotely.

Pre-Award Grant Assistance
For assistance with grant applications, please email pathpreaward@kumc.edu and one of our pre-award team members (Stacy Oxley and Brandi Miller) will be in touch.  Please alert us as soon as you know you intend to submit, to ensure sufficient time to manage the grant submission workload.

Effort Certification (ECC)
Stacy Oxley is the Primary ECC Manager, and Lauren Yonkey is the Secondary ECC Manager.  They are responsible for pre-reviewing salary paid from sponsored projects every 6 months, prior to the PI certifying the salary.

Timekeeping/Absence Reporting
Lauren Yonkey will continue to serve as the primary Timekeeper for all Pathology Basic Science Labs, with the exception of the Soares Lab, which will continue to be handled by Stacy Oxley.  As a reminder, the new Pathology Employee Absence Policy requires that all employees upload an email from their supervisor approving their requested absence.  The approval email should be added as an Attachment in Workday as part of the Absence Request prior to submitting.

Seminar Series
Leslie Tracy coordinates the Seminar Series.

Promotion and Tenure
Stacy Oxley will oversee Faculty Promotion and Tenure.

Pathology Graduate Program
Leslie Tracy coordinates the Pathology Graduate Program.

Communications
Brandi Miller will be the point person for PRGO communications, sharing and requesting information, maintaining lab rosters, etc.  Please be sure to let Brandi know as members of your lab are added/removed to ensure all parties receive announcements, etc.
