On June 5, 2020, students, faculty and staff from the KU School of Medicine joined their KU Medical Center colleagues as they kneeled together in solidarity, observing ten minutes of silence in recognition of the tragic violence and systemic racism facing the Black community. Many staff from The University of Kansas Health System and The University of Kansas Cancer Center joined in the observance.
