Photo essay: M1 Day
The incoming class of the KU School of Medicine started their medical school journey with M-1 Community Service Day.
This annual event allows students to get to know one another while giving back to the local communities where they will be living and learning for the next four years.
The Class of 2023 students in Kansas City volunteered at a number of sites around Wyandotte County, including Shepard's Center, Young Women on the Move, Community Housing of Wyandotte County, Inc. (CHWC), Urbanworks,LLC and Cultivate KC. M-1 students at the School of Medicine‒Wichita completed community service projects at Wichita Habitat for Humanity, the Kansas Food Bank, The Salvation Army-Wichita/Sedgwick County and the MLC/Medical Loan Closet.
