Program Overview
The University of Kansas is the only institution to offer a dual enrollment option for students enrolled in an associate degree respiratory care program at a community college.
You can simultaneously take classes from a community college while also completing up to three KU courses online.
Visit KU's respiratory care degree advancement program for information about student learning outcomes and program accreditation.
"My journey at KU Medical Center began while I was still in my AAS program. I was able to take three classes before graduating with my associate degree to jump-start my bachelor’s program. This allowed me to have a headstart into the program, so I only had six courses to complete while I began my respiratory career full time. This program has opened new opportunities and experiences that I would not have had otherwise. I would recommend the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care program at KU Medical Center for any student wanting to accelerate their career. "- Lauren Brownlow, Class of 2021
