Professional Background

Dr. Lindsey Jenkins is an Assistant Clinical Professor within the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a licensed psychologist in the state of Kansas. Dr. Jenkins attended the University of Tulsa for her undergraduate work, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Music. She later attended the University of Kansas, where she earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a Health Psychology Certificate. She completed an APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral fellowship in Neurorehabilitation Psychology at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Jenkins joined the faculty at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2021. She primarily provides consultation services on the inpatient rehabilitation, burn, and trauma units, as well as assisting inpatient interdisciplinary teams during complex health behavioral huddles. Dr. Jenkins also provides psychological services in the outpatient clinic. She focuses on treating patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, burn injuries, and injuries acquired during trauma. She is passionate about advocating for people with disabilities. She also enjoys supervising and teaching psychology graduate students and interns in the Neurorehabilitation Psychology rotation.

Dr. Jenkins is a member of the Kansas Psychological Association (KPA), Division 22 Rehabilitation Psychology, and the American Psychological Association (APA).
