RETAINWORKS 2026 ECHO: A Health Navigation Model for Supporting Employment

About the Series

  • This series will include 8 courses on Thursdays, beginning March 5 through April 30.
  • All courses will be held via Zoom Noon – 1 PM CST.
  • This eight-session Project ECHO series will equip Kansas healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools to support employment as a meaningful health outcome for individuals whose injuries or illnesses affect their ability to work. Through case-based learning and interdisciplinary discussion, participants will explore vocational rehabilitation and workforce resources, referral pathways, and the roles of state agencies, FQHCs, and CCBHCs. The second half of this series will focus on practical strategies for integrating employment support into clinical workflows, with an emphasis on care coordination, nurse navigation, and clinical leadership. This series is designed for physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, behavioral health clinicians, nurse navigators, care coordinators, rehabilitation counselors, employment support specialists, and individual placement and support specialists.

RETAINWORKS is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor and the Social Security Administration under a grant award of $21,600,000 to the Kansas Department of Commerce that will be incrementally provided. 100% of grant funding is from U.S. Federal funds.
