Diversity and Health Care Disparities

Diversity and Health Care Disparities will explore experiences of marginalized and minority groups in health care settings and provide tools for creating safe and inclusive environments for your staff and patients.

SPEAKER: Brad Thomison has worked in equity and diversity efforts for more than 15 years and takes a conversation-oriented approach to learning. With a focus on bringing all voices to the table, he invites people to move with vulnerability and trust in good intentions to create a learning environment that is safe and still provides enough challenge for each of us to have space to grow.

A well thought out plan can take exhibiting from being a hectic experience to a glowing success! Join us for this Lunch & Learn session to learn tips for before, during, and after a fair. We’ll cover the basics to make the most of your displays, giveaways, prize drawings, brochures, pre-fair promotion, follow up, and more. You only get one chance to make a great first impression. SPEAKERS: Laurie Scott and Jenifer Yuza have collaborated in planning the Kansas Career Opportunities Health Care Career Fairs with a combined experience over 25 years. They’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and how to make your time and dollars count.

Recruiting and Marketing Conference

The 2023 Recruiting and Marketing Conference will be in early April. More information will be available soon.

Recruiting and Marketing Conferences are held yearly or bi-yearly. They include guest speakers and round-table sessions, and opportunities for others to share their successes and ideas. These conferences are developed specifically for employees at rural and underserved health care organizations in Kansas. Topics include marketing strategies, recruitment trends, branding, social media tips, workplace culture, crisis communication, employee engagement, and retaining a health care workforce.
