Will Alumni Reunion Weekend be virtual or in person?
All Alumni Reunion Weekend events from Sept. 26-29 will take place in person on the Kansas City campus and in the Kansas City metro area. Virtual attendance will be available for the Alumni Awards Recognition Ceremony on Friday. Registration for all activities and events will open this summer.

How is KU Medical Center evaluating its safety protocols?
KU Medical Center continues to monitor conditions and regularly consults with public health officials. The university follows the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, the county health departments and our clinical partner, The University of Kansas Health System.

How do I register?
Registration will open this summer. Update your contact information to stay current on the latest Alumni Reunion Weekend information.

Why should I register early?
Space is limited for some activities, so please register early to reserve your spot. Once an event is full, we'll update the online schedule and online registration to reflect the change. You'll be notified if you have been placed on the waiting list for a specific activity.

How much does it cost to register?
A registration fee will apply for most events where food and/or beverages are served . These fees will vary depending on the reunion and location. Please note the registration fees covers the cost of the reunion event only. More information about registration fees will be available when registration open this summer.

What classes are reuniting for the 2024 Alumni Reunion Weekend?
For our 2024 celebrations, we will be hosting 50-year reunion events for the Schools of Health Professions, Medicine and Nursing. Alongside these reunion events, each respective school, program, or class year will host a reunion event where all alumni are invited to attend.

What is a reunion coordinator and what is required of the role?
Reunion coordinators work with the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) as an advisor to provide input and assist with reunion events. They help select the event location, connect with classmates to publicize the event, and serve as a point of contact amongst classmates and to the OAR to ensure a successful reunion alongside other members of the Reunion Event Planning Committee.

The Office of Alumni Relations is the lead for all logistical support for the events including reservations and contract books, event registration and applicable fees, event decor and all other event preparations as needed.

We are currently recruiting reunion coordinators from class years ending in 4 and 9. If you are interested in serving as a class coordinator, please contact Micaela O’Bryan at alumni@kumc.edu.

What is the Reunion Event Planning Committee?
Alumni interested in serving as a reunion coordinator will be seated on the Reunion Event Planning Committee. This committee will serve as an advisor to the OAR and is responsible for providing input on event preparations and assisting with promotion efforts.

Who can serve as a reunion coordinator on the Reunion Event Planning Committee?
Class representatives from the reunion years ending in 4 and 9 are asked to serve on the coordinator committee for 2024, but any interested alumni are eligible to participate.

When are the Reunion Event Planning Committee meetings?
Committee meetings will be held virtuallyb on a monthly basis from April - September.

Can I bring a guest?
Guests are always welcome! Make sure to register your guest when you register to ensure their spot. More registration information will be available this summer.

Please note: This is a family-friendly event. However, there will be no special activities for guests under the age of 12.

What should I wear?
University Activities: Dress is business casual and comfortable for all daytime events on campus.

Reunion Events: Attire for reunion events will depend on the venue. Please check with your reunion contact or the Office of Alumni Relations if you have any questions.

Where do I park on campus?
Complimentary parking will be available for Alumni Reunion Weekend registrants. More information will be available this fall. Following registration, you will receive ample instructions about parking, where to go, how to access buildings and more.

What if I need special accommodations?
To request accommodations such as wheelchairs, accessible parking and dietary needs, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (913) 588-1255 by September 15, if possible.

What is the Alumni Awards Recognition Ceremony?
The luncheon celebrates our 2024 Alumni Award recipients. The Alumni Awards are the highest honors the KU Medical Center Alumni Association bestows upon graduates and those who made outstanding contributions to health care.

Can I attend the Alumni Awards Luncheon virtually?
Yes, the ceremony will be broadcast live via Zoom for virtual attendees. Registration to attend the ceremony in-person or virtually will open this summer.

How can I congratulate the award recipients?
