Curtis Tobaben, MMB, MLS(ASCP)cm

Professional Background

Curtis Tobaben, MMB, MLS(ASCP)^cm, is a clinical assistant professor in the KU Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He joined the faculty of the School of Health Professions in July 2025.

After receiving bachelor's degrees in molecular biotechnology and clinical laboratory science from the University of Kansas in 2019, Tobaben earned a master's degree in microbial biotechnology from North Carolina State University in 2025.

Before he returned to KU, Tobaben held a research and development technician position with Ceva Animal Health. He also served as a clinical microbiologist for The University of Kansas Health System.
